The so-called crime boss, 57-year-old K.R., was detained in Aksy district of Jalal-Abad region. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
According to the state committee, they received requests from entrepreneurs who asked to take action against a resident of Kerben village, Aksy district, who had previously been convicted of robbery. According to the businessmen, in October 2023, promising a joint business in the extraction and sale of coal, the man took $150,000 from them, but did not fulfill his promise. When entrepreneurs began to demand money or what was promised, the crime boss began to threaten with violence.
The 57-year-old man was detained on May 22. The investigation is establishing his involvement in other similar crimes.
