Manas, Semetei, Seytek and Aichurok organizations will start working in the schools of Chui region of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Presidential Envoy to the region reports.
The school organizations were created on the initiative of the Presidential Envoy Kanat Dzhumagaziev in pursuance of presidential decrees on the spiritual, moral development and physical education of an individual, on additional measures for the comprehensive study and popularization of the Manas epic trilogy.
The organizations have reportedly passed a successful pilot stage in Alamedin district, in Lebedinovka school-gymnasium No. 1 named after Imanaly Aidarbekov, and from the new academic year they will begin to operate in all schools of Chui region.
The purpose of these student organizations is to preserve and pass on to the younger generation the national values of the Kyrgyz people, education in the spirit of patriotism.
Elementary school students who have distinguished themselves in studies and sports can join Seitek. From the first grades they are taught to strive for knowledge, follow school and social rules, be honest and courageous, respect elders and help younger ones.
«Semetei organization provides valuable support to students of grades 5-8, teaching them to make responsible decisions. Working in close cooperation with the Inspectorate for Juvenile Affairs, as well as with various creative, sports and public organizations and government agencies, Semetei is aimed at the comprehensive development of adolescents. The organization pays special attention to both the spiritual, psychological and physical development of middle school students. Thus, educational classes are held for participants on healthy lifestyles, prevention of various diseases, physical training and proper nutrition,» the press service said.
Manas is a kind of leadership school for high school students. «The mission of the organization is to prepare young minds for active participation in society and to become a stronghold of the legal and democratic Kyrgyzstan. Members of Manas and Aichurok organizations closely cooperate with social pedagogues and deputy directors of the school for educational work, provide assistance to students facing difficulties in learning and in life, and are mentors for members of Semetei and Seitek organizations,» the statement says.
Manas members will also actively cooperate with the authorities for children and youth affairs, developing action plans to combat violence, bullying and delinquency in educational institutions. In addition, the organization aims to popularize cultural and historical awareness by organizing events with the participation of prominent figures, encouraging the study of military science to protect the homeland.
Similar organizations — little Octobrists, pioneers, Komsomol members existed in the USSR.
