Leaders of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, SerbiaAleksandar Vučić, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and others also arrived in the capital of Hungary.
The World Championship takes the leading place in the sports ranking after the Olympic Games. Representatives from more than 200 foreign countries, including athletes from Kyrgyzstan, participate in it. These competitions are held every two years. The program includes more than 44 kinds of athletics. The strongest track and field athletes in the world participate in the competitions.
