A suspect in the murder of military personnel of the Ministry of Defense and law enforcement officers during the events in June 2010 in Kyrgyzstan was detained on the territory of a foreign state. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
The 50-year-old man is a native of Kara-Suu district of Osh region. He was wanted.
«The detainee is suspected of taking an active part in the riots in Osh region in June 2010. In addition, he is suspected of involvement in the brutal murder of law enforcement officers and military personnel of the Ministry of Defense. The crime was committed in Nariman village, Kara-Suu district. The man will be placed in the pretrial detention center 5 in Osh city,» the state committee said.
SCNS reminded that the statute of limitations for criminal liability is not applied to persons, who committed especially grave crimes in June 2010.
