Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang will pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan. It was announced at the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC Du Dewen.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. They exchanged views on the implementation of the agreements reached following the state visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to China and participation in the first Central Asia-China summit in May 2023.
As the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes, the issues of preparing and holding mutual visits at the highest and high levels were also discussed, including the upcoming official visit of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov to the XUAR of the PRC and the official visit of the Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang to Kyrgyzstan in October 2023.
The parties outlined the importance of accelerating the promotion of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway construction project, optimizing the work of Torugart and Irkeshtam checkpoints, as well as strengthening interregional cooperation.
