President opens House of Justice in Jalal-Abad region

The President of Kyrgyzstan opened a House of Justice in Jalal-Abad on July 27. Press service of the head of state reported.

The Houses of Justice are being opened as part of the judicial reform carried out in the country. The courts of various instances will be located in one building. Objects in the regions are repaired at the expense of the state budget and transferred to the judiciary.

The first House of Justice was opened in March 2023 in Karakol, Issyk-Kul region.

More than 40 million soms were allocated from the state budget for the repair and reconstruction of the facility in Jalal-Abad and additional 14 million soms — from the presidential fund. The furniture in the courtrooms was completely renovated, digital programs were integrated into the work of judges and bailiffs, and conditions were created for persons with disabilities and the elderly to apply to the judiciary.

The Jalal-Abad Regional Court, the Jalal-Abad City Court, the Administrative Court of Jalal-Abad region, as well as the regional directorate of the Judicial Department under the Supreme Court and its structural services are located there.

Sadyr Japarov stressed that an independent and fair judicial system should be formed in Kyrgyzstan to protect the rights of citizens and business.

«We must ensure the inviolability of private property, availability of judicial protection and transparency of the judicial system. This is the main goal of all judicial reforms carried out over the past year and a half,» he said, adding that as part of the measures to reform the judicial system, the construction of service houses for rotating judges is being completed and new modern facilities for regional judicial bodies are being built, and new Houses of Justice are being prepared for opening throughout the country.
