Court extends ban on rallies in Bishkek until September 30

The Pervomaisky District Administration of Bishkek issued a decision to extend the ban on holding rallies in certain places. The district court informed 24.kg news agency.

The district administration applied to the court to recognize as lawful the decision to restrict number of places for holding of peaceful assemblies. The court granted the application.

The district administration banned rallies: on Ala-Too square and Erkindik Boulevard adjacent to it, from Lineinaya Street to Chui Avenue, as well as near the buildings of Parliament and Panfilov park adjacent to it, the Presidential Administration, on the territory of the park named after T. Tursunbayeva, the Supreme Court, Russian Embassy, the State Committee for National Security.

«The exception is state municipal official events held on Ala-Too square from July 1 to September 30 inclusive. All rallies can be held in the Maxim Gorky park,» the court informed.

Earlier, the court legalized the decision to ban rallies until June 30.
