Regular Kyrgyz-Russian inter-MFA consultations at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers of the two countries were held in Moscow. Press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
The Kyrgyz delegation was headed by the First Deputy Foreign Minister Asein Isaev, the Russian delegation was headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
The parties discussed political, economic and humanitarian issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
The upcoming high-level events of the two states in the second half of 2023 were considered.
The parties stressed the importance of continuing the economic and investment partnership. The Russian side was invited to consider implementation of joint projects for industrial cooperation, including the creation of wholesale distribution centers in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The need for high-quality preparation and holding of the tenth interregional conference in Jalal-Abad this autumn was stressed.
The importance of strengthening bilateral humanitarian ties, including interaction in the field of culture and education, was especially noted. In particular, the Russian side informed that it planned to allocate 1,000 places to citizens of Kyrgyzstan at its universities, and an agreement was reached on the possibility of allocation of some of these places for secondary vocational education.
The interaction of countries within the framework of international and regional organizations, including through the UN, the CIS, the SCO and the EAEU, was also discussed. The parties exchanged views on issues of regional security, as well as on some topical issues on the international agenda.
