A ski cluster will be created in Kyrgyzstan with the participation of Russian companies. The Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev announced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to him, «together with Russian companies we are creating a joint venture Three Peaks for the construction of a ski cluster.»
In addition to the Kyrgyz and Russian sides, as planned, Austrian investors intend to take part in the project.
«The tourism industry is actively developing,» the official said.
He noted that economic cooperation between the two countries is developing at an accelerated pace. In particular, the partnership is expanding in the field of infrastructure projects, power industry and construction business. The trade turnover between the two countries and the volume of investments are growing at a high pace.
«Mutual trade has completely switched to som — ruble currency pair,» he said, stressing that «nothing hinders» further expansion of economic cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is the largest economic forum in Russia. This year it takes place from June 14 to June 17. The main theme of the business program is «Sovereign development is the basis of a just world. Let’s join forces for the sake of future generations.»
