Kyrgyz climbers conquer highest peak of North America

Climbers from Kyrgyzstan conquered the highest peak of North America Denali (6,190 meters). The President of the Mountaineering and Climbing Federation Eduard Kubatov reported on Instagram.

According to him, the team included, besides him, Andrey Erokhin and Kanatbek Arpachiev.

«On May 28, we started an expedition to the highest point in North America. On June 4, after six exhausting frosty and arctic days, we successfully climbed Denali! We dedicated our ascent to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our country and the United States. The Kyrgyz independent history began with the recognition of the great powers back in 1992, and we are immensely grateful for this. In addition, the team brought a four-kilogram Ordo cup to the top of Denali, dedicated to the development of Kyrgyz national sports in the United States,» Eduard Kubatov wrote.

Denali is a two-headed mountain in south-central Alaska, the highest mountain in North America. It is located in the heart of the Denali National Park.
