A notorious businessman Daniel Azhiev was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan. The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek informed 24.kg news agency.
Daniel Azhiev will be held in custody until July 29.
Daniel Azhiev was detained for organizing a transnational network of webcam studios. He tried to flee to the UAE. He was put on the wanted list and subsequently, at the request of the State Committee for National Security, was detained in Uzbekistan while trying to leave for the UAE. He was extradited to the Kyrgyz side on June 4 to be prosecuted.
