President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov ratified an agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of the Maldives on mutual exemption from visa requirements. Press service of the President reported.
The agreement was signed on September 23, 2022 in New York. The law was adopted by the Parliament on May 3, 2023.
«Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic — holders of diplomatic, service, internal passports, as well as certificates of return to the Kyrgyz Republic and citizens of the Republic of Maldives — holders of diplomatic, official, internal passports, as well as temporary travel documents will be exempted from visa requirements for entry, exit, transit and temporary stay on the territory of the states of the parties, provided that the duration of each period of stay does not exceed 30 days from the moment of their entry,» the document says.
