Lomonosov Center of the Moscow State University was opened on the basis of the Osh State University. Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan reported.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Kanybek Imanaliev, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Russia Gulnara-Klara Samat, representatives of the Russian Presidential Administration and Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky.
«The work of the center is aimed at implementation of joint educational programs in the field of mathematics, computer science, international relations and tourism. According to the agreements between the higher educational institutions, the first two years of study on joint programs will take place at the Osh State University, and the next two — at the Lomonosov Moscow State University, after which students will receive diplomas of the Russian and Kyrgyz universities,» the diplomatic mission said.
The Osh State University added that the opening of the Lomonosov Center was the result of an agreement between the Osh State University and the Moscow State University, signed on March 3, 2023, as part of the XV Congress of the Eurasian Association of Universities in Moscow.
The university noted that they are currently implementing joint activities with more than 70 Russian universities in a wide range of relevant areas, such as organizing academic mobility of students and specialists, advanced training, working visits, internships for faculty, development of joint double degree educational programs , educational and scientific projects, holding international scientific and practical events (forums, symposiums, workshops, webinars and others), assisting in the publication of scientific works of employees in scientific collections, providing support in international rankings.
