Consulates General of Kyrgyzstan to be opened in Kazan and St. Petersburg

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a decree on the establishment of the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in the city of Kazan of the Russian Federation. Press service of the President reported.

The document says: in accordance with Part 2 of Article 5 of the Law on the Diplomatic Service of the Kyrgyz Republic and paragraph 10 of Article 4 of the Law on Interaction of State Bodies in the Sphere of Foreign Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, in order to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, create favorable conditions, expand the economic and cultural cooperation, as well as consular services for the Kyrgyzstanis in the city of Kazan of the Russian Federation, it is decided to establish the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in the city of Kazan of the Russian Federation with a consular district, including the territories of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Mari El, the Republic of Mordovia, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Udmurt Republic, Chuvash Republic and Ulyanovsk Oblast.

By another decree, the head of state established the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in St. Petersburg.

«To establish the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in the city of St. Petersburg of the Russian Federation with a consular district including the territories of the Republic of Karelia, the Republic of Komi, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod, Pskov Oblasts and the city of St. Petersburg,» the document says.
