Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev got acquainted with the construction of a small hydroelectric power plant on Issyk-Ata river in Issyk-Ata district of Chui region. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The visit was organized as part of the activities of an interdepartmental working group on the development of renewable energy sources (RES). The meeting was attended by representatives of associations in the field of energy, local authorities and state bodies. Topical issues in the field of renewable energy development were discussed, including the existing problems with obtaining the necessary permits for the construction of small hydropower plants.
«Investors often face delaying in obtaining permits from state and local authorities. In the near future, a regulation will be developed regulating the operation of «single window» for work with investors,» the Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev said.
Construction of the small hydropower plant on Issyk-Ata river by Sapat-Electro.KT will be completed in 2023, its capacity will be 2 megawatts.
