President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic, who arrived in the country on an official visit. Press service of the head of state reported.
The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of the Kyrgyz-Serbian bilateral cooperation.
Sadyr Japarov noted a significant potential for political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
The Kyrgyz Republic is open to joint work with Serbian partners.
The President stressed that Kyrgyzstan and Serbia have no disagreements or contentious issues in the political plane, which pleases the Kyrgyz side. He expressed confidence in the need to continue work for further cooperation between the two states.
Ivica Dacic extended an invitation to Sadyr Japarov to visit their country. He expressed satisfaction with the visit to Kyrgyzstan and said that his visit to the country was historical.
Ivica Dacic is the first Serbian Foreign Minister to pay an official visit in the last 25 years.
He noted that the states have similar positions on many issues. But bilateral cooperation is still underdeveloped. In this context, it is important that such visits to be an impetus for the development of joint cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop and strengthen friendly relations in various fields.
