Civic Platform Public Foundation prepared a material that will allow to learn more about the right to freedom of speech and its boundaries.
Restrictive measures have been repeatedly imposed in Kyrgyzstan on the right to freedom of speech. People dissatisfied with it held rallies demanding to lift them. There is a significant difference when such restrictions are justified and when they are not.
«Citizens and politicians often do not fully understand exactly how the right to freedom of speech and expression of one’s opinion works,» Civic Platform Public Foundation notes.
