An international document on glacier monitoring will be developed in Central Asia. The First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar announced, Kazinform reports.
The official told about joint regional projects, taking into account international environmental agreements.
According to him, within the framework of Green Central Asia initiative, it is planned to develop a common document on monitoring and modeling of glaciers in the region.
«It is also planned to implement the project «Climate Risk Management in Central Asia», which will contribute to the achievement of the sustainable development goals set at the national level in relation to adaptation to climate change, peace and security,» Roman Sklyar wrote in his response to a deputy’s request.
