Term of detention of ex-deputy prime minister of Kyrgyzstan, Zhenish Razakov, was extended. Lawyer Aibek Omurov told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the court remanded the former official in custody for two more months.
«We will appeal this decision in court. This criminal case should be considered according to the civil law procedure, since my client does not refuse to pay his debts. Moreover, the criminal case was initiated based on his statement. We told in court that Zhenish Razakov has two children with disabilities, and he is the only breadwinner in the family,» Aibek Omurov said.
Recall, Zhenish Razakov is suspected of fraud. He was detained and then placed in the remand center in Bishkek. According to investigators, the former deputy prime minister gained trust of the ex-deputy of Parliament Arzybek Burkhanov, and then, using his official position, under the guise of doing business, took $1 million from him and did not give it back.
