The national team of Kyrgyzstan took the second team place at ASIA OPEN 2023 Grappling Tournament, held in Astana. The Grappling Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported on Instagram.
The best wrestlers from the USA, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and other countries competed at the international tournament in No-Gi, Gi disciplines in different age categories.
As a result, the hosts of the competition took the 1st place in the team standings, Kyrgyzstan took the second place, and Uzbek athletes — the third.
The youth team took the third place.
In total, Kyrgyz athletes won 20 medals, including five gold ones.
