Deputy Adakhan Madumarov congratulated the supporters of the former president Alamazbek Atambayev on his release at a meeting of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
The deputy noted that it was necessary to consider the responsibility of those who accused the former president.
«The problem was the decisions made at that time, and this is the responsibility of those who made the decisions,» Adakhan Madumarov said.
The criminal case against the former president on the fact of the illegal release of the crime boss Aziz Batukaev was sent for review. The Supreme Court overturned the previous convictions. Almazbek Atambayev was also allowed to travel outside the country for treatment. He has been in custody since August 2019 (he was released for several days during the events in October 2020 and then detained again).
