Today, the exchange offices of Bishkek and commercial banks buy the currency for 86.77-87.2 soms, and sell for 87.61-87.81 soms. The nominal rate was set by the National Bank at 86.77 soms.
In early February, the National Bank conducted an intervention to sell dollars. $47.1 million were sold on the market. But this did not stop the growth of the exchange rate. First, the selling rate of the American currency grew to 87.6 soms, and over the past day — by 20 more tyiyns.
