The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (SDMK) has appointed a new kazy of Osh city — 43-year-old Mirlanbek Toktomushev. The Muftiyat reported.
The corresponding order was signed by the head of the SDMK Zamir Rakiev.
The new kazy has already been introduced to the employees of the kaziyat and the imams of the southern capital.
Mirlanbek Toktomushev was born in Ylai-Talaa village, Kara-Kuldzha district, Osh region, in 1980.
In 2017, he graduated from the Osh State Law Institute. He received religious education at the Islamic Institute of Bishkek Hazireti Umar, the Islamic University in Syria Ain al-Arab and the Islamic Institute of Osh Abdujapar.
Since 2011, he had served as an imam-khatib at Sheyit-dobo mosque; then for five years — as imam-khatib in the khatibiyat of the southern capital. He has been the deputy kazy of Osh since 2019.
