«Meken» film won in three nominations at the Arrow International Film Festival in Paris. The film director Mederbek Zhalilov posted on Facebook.
Bektemir Mamayusupov received the award as the best actor, Chyngyz Esenbaev — for the camerawork, Mederbek Zhalilov — for the best feature film.
«Meken» film was not allowed to be screened in Kyrgyzstan in 2020. The authors of the film raise the topic of the fight against corruption and the conflict of local residents with a Chinese investor.
