1,200 schools to get computer equipment by the end of January

The Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan has begun supplying computer equipment to 1,200 schools and 8 teacher training colleges in the country. Press service of the ministry reported.

The equipment was purchased as part of Education for the Future project funded by the World Bank.

The set includes 21 personal computers, 6 projectors, 2 network switches, 1 uninterruptible power supply unit and an multifunctional device (printer + copier + scanner).

The department added that within the framework of the project, schools and colleges are equipped with furniture for opening electronic libraries. Infrastructure, including electrical, local networks and the Internet, has been prepared jointly with local government bodies.
