The solemn closing ceremony of the XVI Eurasia International Film Festival took place in Almaty on Sunday. Directorate of the film festival reported.
Films from France, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Iran, China, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were presented at the international film festival.
«Esimde» film (directed by Aktan Arym Kubat, Kyrgyzstan) was recognized the best.
The Eurasia International Film Festival is the country’s largest and most authoritative film forum, the only Kazakh film festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers’ Associations (FIAPF). The prestigious British International Film Guide included Eurasia festival in the list of 35 leading world film festivals.
«Esimde» film won the «Asian Oscar» in 2022.
