1,200 schools in Kyrgyzstan to receive new computers by 2023

At least 1,200 schools will receive new computers by the beginning of 2023. The Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Ulanbek Mambetakunov announced live.

According to him, furniture for equipment has been installed in these educational institutions.

«Computers have been received. They are being tested. Fifteen computers will be donated to school’s computer labs. There will be a multimedia room. Interactive video lessons will be held there. I ask computer science teachers not to occupy these classrooms. Biologists, physics, and teachers of other subjects should also teach children there, if the need arises,» the official said.

He noted that within the framework of the UNICEF project, 100 schools wщгдв also receive 10-11 computers. «You just need to wait a little, and you will start lessons in the new year with new computers,» Ulanbek Mambetakunov said.

It was reported earlier that the Ministry of Education and Science, within the framework of the Education for the Future project, funded by the World Bank, will provide 1,200 schools (56 percent of the total) and 8 pedagogical colleges in Kyrgyzstan with computer equipment, as well as office equipment.
