Man kills, dismembers his wife and flees to Russia

Police officers solved a murder committed with particular cruelty. Press service of the Central Internal Affairs Department of Chui region reported.

Human remains were found in the Big Chui Canal on the territory of Sokuluk district on October 14. On the same day, the rest of the body was found in a canal in Bishkek.

«A criminal case has been initiated under the article «Murder» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. It was found out that the discovered body parts belong to the same woman. Since the remains of the body had already decomposed, the identity of the deceased was established later. The deceased is 48-year-old woman. She lived in Prigorodnoye village in Alamedin district. During the investigation, it was established that her husband, 54-year-old A.I., was involved in the murder. He, according to preliminary data, left for Russia after committing the crime, in connection with which he was put on the wanted list. The man was detained in Khanty-Mansiysk city. He was placed in the temporary detention center of the local police department. The issue of extradition of the suspect to Kyrgyzstan is being considered,» the department said.

24.kg news agency learned from own sources that the detainee had previously been convicted several times. According to preliminary data, Kh.M. lived in a marriage with the deceased for 13 years.

«The man first killed his wife, and then dismembered her. The suspect, according to preliminary data, threw the body parts into the Big Chui Canal. The police found the legs in the territory of Sokuluk district, and the head and upper body — in Bishkek,» the department said.
