Legal acts have been adopted in Kyrgyzstan that provide that the state should have a share in the development of subsoil. President Sadyr Japarov announced at a meeting of the first People’s Kurultai.
According to him, from now on, the management of deposits, which have become the property of the people and are the property of the state, will be strictly controlled.
«At the same time, serious attention is paid to the issues of creating conditions for investors and attracting investments in the development of minerals, which will contribute to the development of the country’s economy. If we want to be a strong and developed country in the future, we must use all the major deposits in the country for the benefit of the state and at the same time not forget about the needs of the local population. Then we will meet the demands of our people, then there will be no claims and there will be hope for a brighter future,» Sadyr Japarov said.
The head of state recalled that many people devoted their lives to returning Kumtor mine, which served to enrich the economies of other countries.
«Thank God, thanks to the hard work of a team of sons and daughters of our country, who have deep knowledge, who can distinguish black from white, who have a pure heart and are fluent in several languages, we returned the largest field of Kyrgyzstan to its people. From now on, our most important resources will work for the development of the state. Our unexplored and undeveloped deposits will be developed by the state itself. Of course, the proceeds will be used in the interests of the people, for the development of the strategic directions of the country’s economy,» the president added.
