The First People’s Kurultai is held in Bishkek. The president of the country spoke before the delegates.
Sadyr Japarov noted the history and role of the people’s assemblies.
«Our ancestors, with the help of kurultai, united people and power, thereby establishing real people’s power. I am confident that this People’s Kurultai will contribute to the stable development of the country, improving the lives of citizens and uniting the whole society. The people’s kurultai will offer new ideas to the leadership of Kyrgyzstan,» he said.
The head of state reported on the work of the executive branch, revenues and expenditures of the republican budget.
«The fate of the person and the country is behind the dry figures, which show billions, behind every som. We built 193 social facilities at the expense of the budget. We are transferring billions for pensions, wage increases and the army,» the president added.
Sadyr Japarov also noted that the interests of the state have been a priority for the Kyrgyz Republic in its foreign policy.
