The first People’s Kurultai will start its work in Bishkek today. The President of the country will take part in it.
More than 1,000 delegates from all regions of Kyrgyzstan will take part in the national forum. Deputies of the Parliament, members of the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of state bodies are also invited to the Kurultai.
«The purpose of the congress is a direct meeting of the head of state and an exchange of views with delegates elected from the regions. There will be no trained, so-called duty delegates. It is necessary to establish relationship between the people and the authorities and take further steps, taking into account the key proposals for the development of the country,» Secretary of State Suyunbek Kasmambetov explained earlier.
The delegates will adopt a resolution on the results of the Kurultai. The event will last two days.
The People’s Kurultai will be broadcast live by NTRK, republican and regional TV channels and on their social media pages.
