The Tourism Development Support Fund, together with experts, guides, and archaeologists, has created a register of all the sights of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the agency, more than 1,500 natural and historical sights of the republic were described as part of an inventory carried out throughout the country. The database includes all places that may be of interest to tourists. The work of experts took several months. All collected information was processed and entered into an automated database.
In addition to description of each object, it contains photographs, geographic coordinates and information that will be useful to representatives of the tourism business. The formed database already allows to carry out an analysis of historical and natural heritage for the further development of tourism. It will be expanded in the future.
Information about the sights is available on the country website of the republic. So far, about a hundred main tourist places in the country have been described. Their number will increase.
«We expect that all fans of traveling around beautiful Kyrgyzstan will join the work. We invite you to tell about new, unexplored places in our country, send photos, descriptions, legends,» the initiators say.
It is noted that the official page of Kyrgyzstan on Instagram is of great interest. For two months that have passed since its launch, the number of followers has increased to 33,900 people.
