Delegates elected in Bishkek to participate in People's Kurultai

Election of delegates to participate in People’s Kurultai was held in Bishkek at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall named after Toktogul Satylganov. Press service of the City Hall of the capital reported.

«The issue of organization of elections of delegates to local kurultais is decided by local councils, they, by decision of an extraordinary session, convene a local kurultai. Thus, 800 delegates were elected in Bishkek, who were distributed according to the population of the districts:

Leninsky district — 203 delegates (278,500 inhabitants), Oktyabrsky district — 228 (313,200 inhabitants), Pervomaisky district — 164 (225,300 inhabitants), Sverdlovsky district — 205 delegates (281,400 inhabitants),» the statement says.

It is noted that meetings of delegates were held in all districts on November 1 and 2, 2022 for a preliminary discussion of voting issues at the kurultai of the local community.

The work is carried out within the framework of the decree of the President on Convocation of the People’s Kurultai dated August 15, as well as the resolution of the Bishkek City Council No. 44 dated September 15 on the implementation of the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The People’s Kurultai will be held in Bishkek on November 25.
