Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, took part in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in a narrow format, which is taking place in Yerevan (Republic of Armenia). Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Akylbek Japarov noted that this year Kyrgyzstan chairs the bodies of the EAEU. At the same time, he stressed that the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was taking place in a difficult geopolitical and geo-economic environment.
«In this difficult period, our Union, I believe, must demonstrate its main purpose — improving the quality of life of citizens by removing barriers and simplifying procedures in mutual trade. We have everything necessary for this, and the main thing is the political will of the leaders of our states. It remains for us to do everything in our power for a genuine mutually beneficial economic partnership. We are all committed to one single goal — strengthening the Union through the promotion of the four main postulates of our integration association for the benefit of the prosperity of states and peoples,» the head of the Cabinet said.
He noted that the agenda of the meeting is meaningful and includes the most important and relevant issues for the Eurasian Economic Union.
