Central repair base for military equipment and weapons opened in Kyrgyzstan

Opening ceremony of the central repair base for weapons and military equipment took place in the military unit No. 20636 of the Ministry of Defense. Press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan reported.

«Comprehensive maintenance and current repairs of standard weapons and military equipment will be carried out on the territory of the central repair base, which will significantly increase the combat readiness of our army,» the statement says.

At the beginning of the year, within the framework of cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, an additional agreement was signed to the contract for military technical assistance. According to the document, the Russian side supplied and installed a tent-mobile shelter — a point for the maintenance and repair of weapons and military equipment (TMU-PTOR) with auxiliary equipment, a fence, and an early detection video surveillance system.

TMU-PTOR is designed for comprehensive maintenance, current and medium repair of weapons and military equipment on finished units.
