The command and staff exercises Indestructible Brotherhood — 2022, which were to be held from October 10 through October 14 at the Edelweiss training center of the military unit No. 20636 in Balykchy, were canceled by the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan.
The reason for the cancellation is not yet known.
Back in June, the Defense Ministry announced the start of preparations for these exercises. The second staff talks were held on preparations for the command-staff exercises Indestructible Brotherhood — 2022 with the CSTO peacekeeping forces.
As planned, the servicemen of Tajikistan were to take part in the drills. However, after the military aggression of Emomali Rahmon, many Kyrgyzstanis, as well as deputies of the Parliament, demanded that representatives of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan should not be allowed to participate in the exercises.
The CSTO has not yet commented on the cancellation of the military drills.
