Smuggling of cast-iron radiators worth 160,000 soms prevented in Batken

Batken customs officers detained contraband goods for 160,000 soms. Press service of the State Customs Service reported.

«A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van driven by a citizen of Kyrgyzstan was stopped on Arka-Margun road. Goods were found in the cargo compartment of the vehicle — second-hand cast-iron radiators with a total weight of 2,800 kilograms without accompanying documents,» the statement says.

According to the conclusion of the examination, the cost of the detained goods amounted to 160,000 soms. The violator paid the fine of 30,000 soms and compensated for the damage in the amount of 47,259 soms.
