Ex-deputy of Parliament sentenced to five years in prison for fraud

Ex-deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, Mairamkan Kadyrbekova, was sentenced to five years in prison for fraud on an especially large scale. Website of judicial acts reports.

According to it, Mairamkan Kadyrbekova deceived her son-in-law.

«The former deputy of the Parliament, knowing the laws and procedures for hiring in the Customs Service, promised her son-in-law to employ him for $50,000 with the help of a friend. Having received the full amount, she did not fulfill her promise. By decision of the Pervomaisky District Court made in November 2021, Mairamkan Kadyrbekova was found guilty. She was fined 70,000 soms and sentenced to five years in prison. Mairamkan Kadyrbekova was taken into custody in the courtroom. The ex-deputy paid the victim 2,091 million soms,» the press release says.

In August 2022, the judicial bench of the Supreme Court, having considered the cassation appeal of the attorneys of the former deputy, who asked for probationary control, refused to satisfy it.

Mairamkan Kadyrbekova was a member of the Parliament in 2013-2015 from Ata Zhurt party.
