Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan, Zamirbek Bazarbekov, reminded that independent media and bloggers who distribute slanderous materials will be held accountable. He announced this at the round table discussion «Interaction of courts with the media and coverage of court hearings.»
According to Zamirbek Bazarbekov, some representatives of the media cannot criticize correctly.
«I would like to note that materials aimed at creating a democratic society and containing constructive criticism are of great importance for the Supreme Court. We all know that independent journalists, bloggers who, not knowing the details of a trial, criticize judges unreasonably and denigrate their decisions. We will hold them accountable for spreading slanderous information. This should not be forgotten,» he said.
