President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov urged citizens not to believe provocative information on the Internet. He said this in his video address to the people.
He noted that the deadly shooting in the border zone had stopped, but provocative statements continued to be published on the Internet.
«It must be remembered that rumors aimed at distorting public opinion have a specific goal — to cool the relations of our hospitable people with other countries cooperating with us. Do not fall for provocative information on the Internet. Do not fall into the trap of those who incite anger, do not believe in assumptions and unverified information,» Sadyr Japarov said.
In today’s turbulent situation, the head of state urged to trust only the information provided by official bodies, since border and information security are under close control.
He added that the territories bordering Tajikistan are not specified and cause problems.
«We continue to make efforts to resolve disputes on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border by peaceful means only,» Sadyr Japarov concluded.
