Invasion of Kyrgyzstan: Number of victims grows to 121 people

As of 2 p.m., the number of victims admitted to healthcare organizations of Kyrgyzstan reached 121 people, 7 of them were sent for outpatient treatment. The Ministry of Health provided the information.

There are 41 victims in the Batken Regional Combined Hospital, 35 — in the General Medical Practice Centers of Leilek, 3 — in Kulundu, and 6 — in Sulukta. At least 21 victims are in the National Hospital, 1 — in the National Surgical Center, 6 — in the National Mother and Child Welfare Center in Bishkek and 1 one — in the Osh Regional Combined Hospital.

Emergency situation has been introduced in Batken region. Shooting began at several sites of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the morning of September 16. Settlements in Leilek and Batken district came under fire. The Ministry of Health reported 121 victims, 24 people were killed. As a result of the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, residents of seven villages in Batken and Leilek districts, as well as Dzhekendi village in Chon-Alai district of Osh region, left their homes.

Presidents Sadyr Japarov and Emomali Rahmon agreed to ceasefire. But, according to the latest data from the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, the Tajik side violated the agreements again.
