At least 106.6 tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered to Batken region. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan reported.
It is noted that 33.5 tons of them were sent for distribution among the residents of Margun village. At least 6,500 liters of fuel and lubricants, 25 tons of flour, four tons of sugar, 10,000 liters of vegetable oil have been allocated from the State Material Reserves Fund.
About 90,326 tons of food collected by caring citizens were also sent to residents of Batken.
There are 24 aid collection points in Bishkek.
Emergency situation has been introduced in Batken region. Shooting began at several sites of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the morning of September 16. Settlements in Leilek and Batken district came under fire. The Ministry of Health reported 103 victims, 24 people were killed. As a result of the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, residents of seven villages in Batken and Leilek districts, as well as Dzhekendi village in Chon-Alai district of Osh region, left their homes.
Presidents Sadyr Japarov and Emomali Rahmon agreed to ceasefire. But, according to the latest data from the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, the Tajik side violated the agreements again.
