Border conflict: Tajikistan uses method of hybrid warfare

Tajikistan uses all the methods of hybrid warfare against Kyrgyzstan, simultaneously spreading false information on social media and information resources. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The statement says that «Dushanbe blames Bishkek for creating a conflict situation, but the Tajik side has prepared in advance and is actively using tanks, mortars, armored vehicles and Grad multiple launch rocket systems».

«As you can see, Tajikistan, attacking cities, villages and settlements in addition to the border troops, uses all types of troops of the armed forces of the Republic of Tajikistan in order to capture the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Kyrgyz side continues to insist on a ceasefire, offering the Tajik side to sit down at the negotiating table and jointly resolve the situation,» the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan notes.

Shooting began at several sites of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the morning of September 16. According to the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security, at about 6 a.m. the Tajik side started firing at the border detachments and positions of the Kyrgyz side. Later, the Tajik side began mortar shelling of border outposts and border villages in Leilek and Batken districts. At least 31 people were wounded. Shooting continues for the third day. As a result of the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, residents of seven villages in Batken and Leilek districts left their homes.
