The Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek considered the measure of restraint for the former external manager of Kumtor Gold Company JSC Tengiz Bolturuk.
Before entering the courtroom, Tengiz Bolturuk stated that he considered the accusations brought against him as absurd.
«Absurd accusations, absolutely false. I cannot be responsible for all my subordinates,» Tengiz Bolturuk said.
The investigator of the Prosecutor General’s Office asked to take the accused into custody. The defense demanded a preventive measure not related to arrest for the former external manager of Kumtor Gold Company.
Leaving the deliberation room, the judge read out the decision, according to which Tengiz Bolturuk was placed in the remand center of the State Committee for National Security until November 10.
Earlier it was reported about financial violations revealed at Kumtor, in particular, fuels and lubricants, food, spare parts were purchased at prices above market ones. The Prosecutor General’s Office initiated three criminal cases. Former external manager of Kumtor Tengiz Bolturuk, procurement specialist Aisha-Gul Frontbek kyzy Dzhanalieva and the financial director Ryspek Toktogulov were detained.
