President of Kyrgyzstan hands keys to apartments to border guards

Sadyr Japarov, during a working trip to Jalal-Abad region, handed over the keys to new apartments to the employees of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan.

He recalled that the wages of public sector workers were increased in the country, as well as wage increments, and it was also planned to increase pensions.

«I think that everyone, whose salary was increased, felt an increase in family income. In order everyone to have a quiet life and peace of mind, they, of course, must have a roof over their heads. Our border guards — military personnel — are always guarding the borders of the motherland, and sometimes they have no time to build housing,» the head of state said, noting that, just like the border guards themselves, he was glad that they would have new housing.

According to him, if the border guards do not need anything, do not think about other needs and serve only for the security of the homeland, then peace and tranquility will reign in the republic.

Sadyr Japarov noted that more than 100 million soms were allocated from the republican budget for the construction of the residential building for 36 families of border guards. He assured that active work would be continued to improve their social rights, guarantees and living conditions.

Work is currently underway to reconstruct the building of Shamaldy-Sai border detachment. For the purpose of high-quality training of personnel, the material and technical base of the unit will be improved, training activities will be provided with modern means.

The President also added that it is planned to increase the salaries of military personnel currently serving in military units located in Batken region. «God willing, in the future we will raise the salaries of all employees of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security,» he said.

Sadyr Japarov stressed the role of the local population in ensuring the security of the border. «Despite all the difficulties, the local population continues to support our border guards with warm words, good intentions and actions,» he concluded.
