«In addition to educational programs, these centers can provide a platform for local communities to meet with successful leaders, promote women’s leadership, and host youth debates,» Sadyr Japarov said.
He stressed that before the end of the year, the state will support opening of several dozen more centers in remote areas and villages. Implementation of this project will improve citizens’ understanding of the country’s political and electoral systems, increase confidence in the electoral process and enhance citizen participation in them.
«It is very important to take into account modern democratic principles, universal values of human rights and freedoms, traditions of the people, the system of spiritual and moral values left by our ancestors in the programs of civic education and improvement of legal culture. Undoubtedly, Manas epic, which has a deep meaning in the spiritual development of the people, is considered the source of the modern legal and political culture of society. This is because the moral values of this great epic complement the modern legal system for regulating social relations and can become a strong moral rule of modern life,» Sadyr Japarov said.
