The President of Kyrgyzstan signed a decree on measures to combat smuggling and unaccounted import of goods into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The purpose of the document is to step up measures aimed at protecting the interests of the national economy, combating smuggling and unaccounted import of goods into the country.
The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to:
- Ensure full accounting of goods (cargo) imported into the Kyrgyz Republic in the framework of trade with third countries and member states of the Eurasian Economic Union;
- Take measures within the framework of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic to ensure confiscation of goods (cargo) smuggled and / or imported unaccounted for into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as vehicles used for smuggling and / or unaccounted movement of goods (cargo) in the framework of trade with third countries and member states of the Eurasian Economic Union;
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of information systems of the tax and customs services for accounting imported goods into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of trade with third countries and member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, online data transmission, equipping checkpoints with automated cameras for recognizing state license plates of vehicles;
- Introduce specialized parking lots for vehicles of importers/carriers who have violated the norms of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic on the import of goods into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in the framework of trade with third countries and member states of the Eurasian Economic Union;
- Introduce enhanced control over the transit flow of goods from the territory of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, heading for third countries through the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic.
