Cash registers have been installed in public transport in Osh city by the new academic year, where passengers can pay for travel both in cash and non-cash (by electronic transport card). Press service of the City Hall reported.
According to it, there are three types of transport electronic cards in Osh: for students, pensioners and other passengers.
Fare for travel in cash is 10 soms, by card — 8 soms.
The cards can be bought at the control points at the final stops of trolleybuses in Yugo-Vostok and KhBK microdistricts and at the Osh City Municipal Motor Transport Enterprise. It is planned to open points for the sale of electronic transport cards in the higher education institutions of the city.
The e-ticketing project has been implemented in Bishkek for more than two years, many passengers continue to pay in cash and do not know how non-cash payment works. The City Hall of the capital reported that cash payments would be completely prohibited from July 1, but subsequently postponed the innovation for three months.
