A truck with contraband cargo was detained in Besh-Pistan area of Margun rural administration in Leilek district, Batken region. Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
While inspecting the truck, servicemen of Leilek border detachment found women’s and children’s clothing, dishes, rolls of fabrics, women’s accessories and medicines without permits.
On August 28, border guards detained a truck at Kadamdzhai-Avtodorozhny checkpoint when it was leaving Kyrgyzstan. During inspection of the trailer, the border guards discovered a secret tank (not specified in the technical specifications), in which the driver tried to illegally smuggle 5,000 liters of diesel fuel.
The driver tried to take fuel and lubricants to Uzbekistan for further sale. According to preliminary data, the cost of the detained cargo and fuel and lubricants amounted to more than 1,885 million soms.
