Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, told about the main areas of cooperation between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
According to him, one of the most important areas should be the implementation of joint cooperation projects aimed at import substitution and ensuring technological sovereignty.
«The issues of creation of a specialized development institution within the framework of the Union to finance industrial cooperation, in my opinion, are important and relevant under the current difficult circumstances. I am sure that the Eurasian Economic Commission, together with the member states, will quickly work out specific mechanisms for creating a specialized institution for the implementation of joint cooperation projects with funding sources and will submit them for consideration this year,» Akylbek Japarov said.
He also drew attention to the importance of implementation of priority integration infrastructure projects in the field of transport on the territory of the EAEU.
«In the context of global changes, in particular the complication of traditional transport corridors and logistics chains, it is strategically important to develop new logistics corridors and create transport systems that provide full-fledged transport connectivity. The progressive development of the transport and logistics infrastructure on the territory of the EAEU will ensure an increase in the speed of movement of goods and the availability of transport infrastructure for development of our economies,» the head of the Cabinet concluded.
